10 Psychology Books That Will Help Your Business Grow

Intro

Are you looking for some great psychology books to read? Then, we've got you covered!

These books will help you understand human behavior and improve your business relationships.

Some of these titles were written with business in mind, while others are applied psychology books.

But since business is one of the many faces of human intentions, you'll always be one step ahead of your competitors.

1) Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, by Carol Dweck

This classic book introduced to the world the concept of the Growth Mindset. In a nutshell, some people get ahead in life and in business more than others because they don't see their skills as fixed assets. Instead, they know that with focus and consistent work, they constantly improve and eventually set themselves apart from the competition.

2) Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones, by James Clear

The author of this great book suffered from a pretty severe injury while he was in high school. But despite that, he was able to not only stay on track with his goals but ended up thriving. Clear attributes his success to a set of productive and healthy habits he developed. He teaches how anyone can turn their life around by implementing a step-by-step process geared to starting and maintaining those habits.

3) Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action by Simon Sinek

Some businesses start with the product or the design in mind. Those companies compete on price or features. Then some companies start with their Why in mind. These are the brands that connect with their audience and can strike a deep connection, a bond that goes way beyond price and packaging. Companies like Starbucks, Apple, and Nike transcend their industries and become part of everyday culture. Sinek shows you the recipe behind that leap and how you can use it to improve brand recognition and company culture.

4) Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion Book Robert Cialdini

You can find many sales "hacks" and shortcuts online, but if you want to master evergreen principles based on timeless psychology, this is the book you need to read. This book will also help you guard against persuasive marketing techniques that you may have fallen for in the past.

5) Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth

Angela Duckworth's research will open your eyes to what it actually takes to achieve success in any field. Of course, skills are essential, but above all, you must have grit. Grit is the ability to stick to a project for a long time and with passion and perseverance. In a nutshell, once you adopt this trait, everything else will fall into place, and your skills will improve to meet your new demands.

6) Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It
by Christopher Voss (with Tahl Raz)

When Cris Voss' book came out, it was an instead bestseller. This book is not your ordinary sales book. It's a collection of techniques and strategies that the author developed and used during his long career as an FBI hostage negotiator. If you are looking for applied psychology and practical knowledge, this book is definitely for you.

7) Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

In this cult book, clinical psychologist Csikszentmihalyi introduced the concept of flow - a state of mind of total immersion and focus on a specific activity. First, the author explains how those that reach the peak in their respective industries enter a state of flow during their performances (athletes, doctors, authors, artists, etc.) Then he proceeds to show how you can enter a state of flow even during everyday situations.

8) Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard by Chip Heath and Dan Heath

Change is not easy; not at home, not at work. But with the right tools and know-how, you will be able to not only deal with change but also welcome it in your life and with your team. If you are looking for a way to motivate and lead a team through a difficult transition time, this book will show you how to do it effectively.

9) The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwell

Change and growth are not linear. You could be working on something for months with little to no results. But then, one small thing could move the needle like never before. If you want to know how viral moments happen and how you can manufacture your own tipping points in business and life, this book will show you how.

10) Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl

Viktor Frankl spent a long time in a concentration camp during the Nazi era, but despite this cruel destiny, he was able to build a solid mindset and a strong purpose. This book will show you the real meaning of "you make your own reality." If you want to learn how to manage your mindset and thrive in any situation, this book is for you.
